The new browser game NapWar seems to be growing really fast these days. They started up just a month ago and they already have added two more servers in addition to the first one. It’s great that they are adding new servers often so that new players can start on a server where everyone is at about the same level. I’d recommend starting on the newest server whenever you want to start a new account.

Each of the servers has about 40,000 players, so it looks like the total number of players is about 100,000 now, assuming not too many players play on several servers. This is pretty good for a game that has only been out one month! I expect the game to be growing even more in future month and new interesting features to be added frequently. During Halloween they had a pretty cool event also, here is what they say about it at their website.

As Halloween is approaching, FOW is proud to announce our first annual Halloween celebration. 

Between Oct. 28, 2009 00:00 to Nov.7, 2009 23:59 Napwar server time (CDT), we will be having a series of activities to celebrate with the Nap War community. Players who log into Nap War daily will receive a Halloween Box. When you complete a few simple quests, you will receive even more items and “candy”.

Activity 1: Halloween Box awarded to players who login during the celebration.

During the activity period, all players will be awarded a Halloween Box every other day if they log on to the game. By opening the box, you could randomly get one resource, an item, or a Halloween costume. Or you can buy the box in the Shop, or exchange it for candy. 
What is candy for? See Activity 2.

During the Activity Time, every player can own up to 5 Halloween Boxes through daily quests. The box will only be available on Oct. 28, Oct. 29, Oct. 30, Oct.31, and Nov. 1 Napwar server time, one per player per day. Do not miss any of them!

Halloween Box Tip: Available to players at the rank at Knight or above.

You could randomly get one of the following after opening the Halloween Box.

Activity 2: Lightening jack-o-lantern, looking for candy, and applying your the Halloween Boxes.

During the Activity Period, you can buy jack-o’-lanterns, candles, or candy or get them by pillaging or occupying a wilderness. Use candles to light jack-o-lanterns while looking for candy and the Halloween Box.


Required items: jack-o-lantern, candle, and candy

Item Tips: 

1. Buy from the Shop: You can buy jack-o-lanterns, candles, candy, and Halloween Boxes in the Shop. 
Jack-o-lanterns cost 30 coins
Candles cost 30 coins 
Candy costs 6 coins 
Halloween Box costs 50 coins.

2. Receive jack-o-lanterns, candles, and candy from battles in a Wilderness or a City.

Quick Guide: 

Get the coords of a nearby wilderness by using candles to light a jack-o-lantern, then occupy the wilderness and gather for more than an hour. You will then be able to receive one Halloween Box and some candy.

You will randomly get 1 item out of those mentioned above after you open the Halloween Box.

Resources or Candy? You can exchange resources or Halloween Boxes for candy. Exchange rates are as follows:

1 candy=Food 25000=Wood 20000=Stone 15000=Iron 10000

10 candies=1 Halloween Box


Activity 3: Bite apples and seize the first strike.

Get Halloween Apple by pillaging or occupying a wilderness or a city. Or you can purchase them in the Shop. You will get items, resources, or vouchers when you “eat” the apples. 

You will randomly get one of the following after openning the Halloween Apple:
